Harbor View as a Community depends on volunteers who like to participate in making things happen. Jobs range from those as simple as stuffing envelopes to those as tough as landscaping and gardening on the common property, as intellectually demanding as timing sailboat races, or as socially challenging as serving on the Board. Here are some of the categories and examples of how volunteers can help:

·     Social affairs: cooking, setting up, cleaning up, calling people -- particularly for Fourth of July and Labor Day.
·     Clubhouse: housework, maintenance, painting.
·     Financial Secretary: getting stamps, stuffing envelopes.
·     Floats and runways: general maintenance, setting up in spring and hauling out in fall
·     Tennis courts: pulling weeds, sweeping, rolling, watering.
·     Yacht Club: affairs at the Clubhouse and afloat, helping with all aspects of social gatherings and sailing events.
·     Communications: making phone calls, creating and circulating flyers.
·     Women’s Club: maintaining the clubhouse, helping with activities for children, fundraising events.

Volunteers provide residents with current telephone lists and a near-monthly newsletter HarborViews.

Please call a Board member, Women’s Club President, or Yacht Club Commodore and tell them you would like to help. And don't forget to check the Events Calendar frequently for events of interest.
